The other day I wasn’t feeling too crash hot, so I turned on the television and tuned in to Dateline. The first item was on the EDL (English Defence League). The English Defence League is an organization that was founded in Luton as a result of the disgusting treatment of returning British soldiers by a group called Shariah4theUK, later known as Muslims against the Crusades.
Of course, none of this was mentioned in Dateline, which had literally copied what could only be described as a propaganda piece from the Guardian, (a left–wing British newspaper) which would have made Goebbels proud.
The Guardian piece - which was wholeheartedly supported by George Negus, as he didn’t question one iota of it - portrayed the EDL as the latter-day BUF (British Union of Fascists), although I can’t remember Sir Oswald Mosley ever saying anything about Blacks and Whites unite.
According to the EDL their organization is:
“a grassroots social movement who represent every walk of life, every race, every creed and every colour; from the working class to middle England. Our unity and diversity is our strength.” (source)
The EDL leader, Tommy Robinson uncovers his face for the first time to give an interview for channel 4
Although according to Dateline, it is full of members of the BNP (British National Party) and Combat 18, an avowed neo-Nazi organization. Excuse my ignorance, but what neo-Nazi organization is interested in uniting Blacks and Whites? And no self-respecting Nazi would be seen within cooee of an Israeli flag, unless it was being trampled on or burnt. (reference)
The organization which this piece trumpeted as a bastion of anti-fascist resistance was Unite Against Fascism, an organization whose links were never questioned in the Dateline series, but I feel they surely should be.
Totalitarians of the World Unite!!
Unite Against Fascism has some extreme totalitarian links, from radical Marxists who claim that the Union Jack is racist, to the Respect Party. The Respect Party may have an innocent sounding name, but nothing could be further from the truth. Founded by George Galloway, it combines elements of Islam and Marxism: The Respect Party
Another well known organisation and a lot older one also came up on the Dateline program. That was the so-called anti-fascist m
agazine “Searchlight”, which amazingly also seems to be linked to the Respect Party. If one truly wants to be anti-fascist and anti-racist, why link yourself a group which espouses what is clearly a totalitarian ideology?
I am certainly not saying that no members of the English Defence League are racist, as some members of all organizations are, regardless of whether they purport to be either left-wing, right-wing or purely sporting organizations. But to give an organization credit just because it claims to be anti-racist or anti-fascist is to give cover to totalitarian systems, whether they are Communist or Islamist. All organizations have to be questioned and all their allegiances have to be examined carefully: if not, there is no way in hell one can get anything other than a propaganda piece passed off as journalistic research.

Australians celebrate and revere Anzac Day on April 25th each year in remembrance of our brave soldiers who fought in two great world wars to secure our freedom. Every Australian identifies with the slogan “lest we forget” and in services held around the country people reflect on the battles and men who died to secure our freedom. Yet across the world in France, there is one remarkable battle which helped form the Europe we know today and allowed the development of civilization based on Judeo Christian principles. This one famous battle has become known as the battle of Tours and effectively stopped the Muslim advance into Europe. After the death of Mohammed in 632AD, Muslim armies exploded out of the Arabian peninsula to conquer much of the Middle East, expanding across north Africa. From there they crossed into Spain in 711AD and eventually controlled much of al-Andalus by 715AD. It was the victory at Tours by Charles Martel that stemmed the tide and eventually the Muslim marauders were expelled from Spain in 1492 when the last outpost at Granada fell to King Ferdinand of Spain.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was born, lived, fought and won battles against religious and social oppression in the 17th century Bharat or India. He was a shining star in the Indian firmament and is renowned as a champion of the downtrodden and depressed masses. He was and continues to be an icon for the classes and masses alike and is seen as a rallying point for peasants oppressed by foreign rulers, Pathans and Moghuls alike. Sexually exploited women found in Shivaji Raje a protector, a benefactor and flocked to his Hindavi Swaraj to find solace and feel liberated under his saffron flag.
Perhaps some readers might be interested to know that January 28 is considered a feast day among Catholics – actually 2 feast days are celebrated on the same day – one is of ST Thomas Aquinas, the great medieval theologian and philosopher who adapted Aristotle to the western Judeo-Christian worldview. . It is also the feast day of a lesser known person – St Peter Nolasco, the great ransomer of captives from the Muslims.

How often in conversation with a Muslim, do they quote Spain as the crowning achievement of Islam, where Muslims, Jews and Christians lived in harmony for about 800 years?
Why do Muslims insist that Jerusalem is their Holy City?
There is a very strongly entrenched view among majority of Westerners today that the three main monotheistic religions Judaism, Christianity and Islam share one common God and therefore despite the obvious differences, the core foundation of these three religions is the same.
