First, heartiest congratulations to George Negus, our June dhimwhit, for his richly-deserved award. Commiserations to Geraldine Doogue, who came a very close second, but couldn't quite reach the pinnacle.
For our July dhimwhit, we have 6 worthy candidates.
But sadly, only one can win.
It's up to you, dear readers, to cast your votes and decide which one it will be. Here are the nominations:
1. The University of Sydney, which welcomed HRH Prince Turki Al Faisal from Saudi Arabia, and a delegation from the King Faisal Centre for Research and Islamic Studies to discuss options for “further engagement in Saudi research and teaching programs .”
The Obama administration is likely to uphold the Saudi's immunity from U.S. civil litigation, but even if a lawsuit by families of the victims of September 11 does not go ahead, recently released documents may shed light on long-alleged connections between al-Qaeda and the Saudi royal family. They show that the International Islamic Relief Organization, a charity backed by Saudi royalty, supported terrorist organizations until 2007, another charity, the Saudi High Commission for Aid to Bosnia, provided money and supplies to al-Qaeda in the 1990s, while an Afghani testified that an emissary for Saudi prince Turki handed a check for one billion Saudi riyals (about $267 million) to a top Taliban leader in 1998.
The Irish Philosopher Edmund Burke has become famous for his quote that evil will flourish when good men do nothing. Little did he know how true his words uttered in the 18th century would become in the 20th century when the world endured two world wars. I recently came across an article written by a Paul E Marek
a second-generation Canadian, whose grandparents fled Czechoslovakia just prior to the Nazi takeover. He wrote it in February of 2006. The original title was “Why The Peaceful Majority Is Irrelevant”
. However his article took wings and was picked up by a well known psychiatrist Dr Emanual Tanay who was a Polish Holocaust survivor. He published this in a letter called “A German’s View on Islam”. Even though this has been circulating for over three years, I believe it is just as important today. Hopefully many readers will ponder on its message and understand Edmund Burke and take action before Islam destroys our world.
Sack Rowan Williams and replace him with Dr Michael Nazir-Ali (Pakistani, father ex-Muslim), a contender for Archbishop when, tragically, Williams was chosen!! Dr Nazir–Ali has many characteristics completely missing in Rowan Williams, not the least of which is experience of living under Islam and the capacity to tell the truth about Islam! Dr Nazir-Ali’s recent claims of Muslim ‘no-go’ areas for others are supported by African-British ex-Muslim Dr Patrick Sookhdeo, who notes the intimidation of British Christians as areas ‘Islamize.’
Rowan Williams is an enemy to Britain, to freedom, to British Law and democracy and to his own religion!
“Giving Islamic Law official status in Britain would help to achieve social cohesion because some Muslims did not relate to the British legal system.” “Muslims shouldn’t have to choose between two systems” (Age 9/2/08)
A group calling itself "GetUp
" is running anti-Howard election campaign material in support of every wacko philosophy you can point a stick at.
You can safely assume that, in GetUp's world-view, the sky is falling, we Anglo-Australians are the world worst racist xenophobes, capitalism is evil and Amerika is b-a-d. These are givens. Amongst the worst of their "platforms" is an open border policy that will see larger numbers of Islamists invade this nation. GetUp is staunchly behind Anti-Vilification legislation... naturally.
Naturally also, support for our involvement in Iraq is almost criminal in the eyes of the GetUp mob.
Ok, it's a free country and they are entitled to their opinions, as under-grad socialist as they are. Hey, we were all 18 and knew everything once, right?
What I object to though, is the fact that they are using Louise Barry in their anti-Iraq television propaganda (TV Propaganda
Now don’t get me wrong here: we’re all in favour of protesting. After all, exercising our right to freedom of speech and assembly is part of living in a free democratic society. All we are saying is that in the old days, we used to protest AGAINST racism and apartheid. These days it seems the trendy post-modern demonstrator is rallying IN SUPPORT OF these evils.
Old and young fools - victims of marxist indoctrination
AIM being a firmly anti-racist group, your two intrepid reporters decided to mingle with the ranks of anti-Israel activists objecting to John Howard’s appearance at a JNF function at the Crown Casino. We were hoping to discuss the issues and hand out leaflets giving the facts of the situation. Whilst we managed to hand out some leaflets, which will no doubt be discarded unread, they proved strangely resistent to engaging in rational discourse. But then it’s not entirely their fault, as many have been to universities, which in these post-modern times have scrapped open enquiry and free thinking in favour of propaganda and group think.
The protest was organised by the radical youth movement Resistance, part of the socialist left, and called on protestors to “picket John Howard and end all ties with apartheid Israel now’’.According to the protest organisers, the event is “to honour Howard for his genuine committment and friendship to the expansion of Zionist terrorism”.
Some things just aren't nice. It's not nice to say :
- terrorists act in the name of Islam
- jihad is a central tenet of Islam
- Islam uses jihad to further its plan for world domination.
So what to do about it?
Of course, we could try putting pressure on Muslims to moderate their ideology, but as the qur'an is the immutable word of Allah, that could present difficulties. Besides, they could get angry with us for not respecting their religion.
Far better to pretend that violence has nothing whatsoever to do with Islam, and label any who dare say otherwise a bigot.
Dhimmitude laws for you - Economic and Political aspects
Remember dhimmis are conquered people and dhimmitude is the culture of degradation forced onto them/evolved under Islamic rule. (See Dhimmitude: What is it?)
Some background: (based on accepting Islamic history as Islam alone tells it)
The first ‘pact’-Khaibar and Mohammad: The Jews of Khaibar awoke and headed to their fields but were viciously attacked by Mohammad and his followers. Many Khaibar Jews were slaughtered and enslaved. But, Mohammad introduced a new practise to maximise his profit from the fertile land that he realised he couldn’t farm. Some Jews were left alive BUT in exchange for their life they had to surrender 50% of their produce, and their land was owned by Muslims. Mohammad’s first biography -Sirat Rasul’allah (p511-526) tells of the violence, extortion and booty including Mohammad taking lovely Safiya while sharing out other women to the Muslim men for use once the women were ‘clean’.
Recently I came across a B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission
Special Report entitled “Hate your neighbour as you hate yourself: prejudice and the psycho-politics of divisiveness
”, by Dr Allan Shafer, Clinical Psychologist & Socio-Analyst
In it, Shafer, whilst disclaiming “particular expertise in politics or religion”, puts forward a politically correct worldview. In critiqeing his words of wisdom, distilled no doubt from years of study at those shrines to PC, our universities, I’ve added my own viewpoint, which has been formed merely by observation and commonsense.
Alan: “I hope to help you understand the significant role that hatred plays in our individual and collective lives and how this affects our perception of and behaviour towards others.”Cass:
…political and religious leaders nowadays seem more than ever to be operating from an agenda that seems bent on sustaining or increasing this divisiveness – for political or control purposes, no doubt.
Just to clarify, Alan, that would be our political and religious leaders who have an agenda of increasing divisiveness to control us, wouldn’t it?
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
111:1 - The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish.
111:2 - His wealth and gains will not exempt him.
111:3 - He will be plunged in flaming Fire,
111:4 - And his wife, the wood-carrier, will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre.
Well, all I can say is that Allah’s compassion and mercy must be in doubt if he thinks criticism of Mo merits such drastic punishment, not only for Abu Lahab, but his poor wife.
You would think that, in these enlightened times, at least in Western countries, these words would be regarded as a historical oddity and treated with the derision they deserve.
Readers will be pleased to know that this month's nominees are of the usual high standard. So readers, it's your call: who will be our August Dhimwit?
1. Robert McClelland , Attorney-General
Rob has decided that, rather than tackling Islamic terrorism, which might cause offence to those supporting Islamic terrorists, better to change the way we talk about Islam:
THE phrase "war on terrorism" is set to be expunged from the official lexicon.
The cover of Al Age's weekend travel magazine showed a picture of a street scene in Damascus , above which was an enigmatic Arab proverb: “The mind is for seeing, the heart is for hearing.” What could this possibly mean?
A google search for this proverb turned up a story “Arab Girl Turns Into A Terrifying Animal By God's Almighty Will”
A very peculiar girl has appeared in one of the Arab countries, Yemen to be precise. She has the body of a female, complete with reproductive system, but she has the face of a kangaroo, which gives her a horrifying appearance. Rumors have spread across town that this girl was born this way because her mother blasphemed against the Holy Qur'an before having intercourse, so God deformed the child in this image. But what is strange is that this is not the only girl of her kind in the world. As a matter of fact, an Australian hospital has announced that another girl who looks like her was born in the hospital. This look-alike girl was the result of sexual intercourse between a 17-year-old Australian virgin girl and a kangaroo, an animal which inhabits the Australian woods, which is where the girl was taking a walk when she saw the kangaroo with which she had sex. The result was a baby girl born in the shape of a kangaroo.
It is worth noting that some of the media posted the rumor.... However there is no proof of this animal's existence in Egypt, and all we can say is "Allah is truly almighty." (source)
n the classic film released in 1967 called “The Graduate” the story unfolded of a married woman Mrs Robinson (Anne Bancroft) who seduced a young graduate called Ben Braddock (Dustin Hoffman). Background music was drawn from the prolific Simon and Garfunkel combination and featured the song “Here’s to you Mrs Robinson” as well as perennial favourites such as “Scarborough Fair”. This film actually launched Dustin Hoffman to international fame. However in August 2009 another Mrs Robinson has taken centre stage and received America’s highest civilian honour, the Presidential Medal of Freedom. President Obama presented the award to Mary Robinson along with 15 other recipients. There is no doubt that Mary Robinson, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights from 1997 to 2002 has an impressive list of credentials to her name, but one has to ask “Does she merit receiving America’s highest civilian award”? As we will see, Mary Robinson exposes contradictory positions on human rights by championing feminist issues and homosexual rights on one hand then praising the human rights benefits of Sharia Law. How can an intelligent and highly educated woman get it so wrong?
WE seem to have gone mad, as a nation. That is the only way I can view the latest news concerning muslim immigration to this country.
Today’s papers inform us that, contrary to the statements of the former PM John Howard and the incumbent, Kevin Rudd, WE will not actually “decide who comes to this nation and under what circumstances”. No, that decision is being made by the United Nations, that haven of do-nothingness completely dominated by the Islamic World Council.
Having been an active blogger and researcher into “all things Islamic”, with a special interest in our Immigration Department, its officers and the policy it pursues, since the day after 9/11, I believe I am aware of most of the permutations, shenanigans, lies and deception, not to mention the staggering decisions they have arrived at, that DIMIA/DIMA has been responsible for since 2000. I suppose I should not be surprised at this latest infamy, but as my research has led me to believe that a fairly consistent 80-85% of the Australian population have concerns about the administration of DIMA and policy, I believe it is not only right to protest, but a duty.
In the aftermath of the recent terrorism raids in Melbourne, Simon Overland, Victoria's Chief Commissioner of Police, has been quick to reassure the victims, who thanks to his sensitivity training, he now identifies as the Islamic community. Writing in The Age, he makes a plea for Australians to be more understanding:
IMAGINE how you would feel if a member of your family was a convicted terrorist. This is the reality for one man in Melbourne who has been working with Victoria Police to help us understand how to deal with convicted terrorists...The Muslim community is working with us because it understands that vulnerable, isolated and alienated young people are often easily cultivated to engage in criminal activity.
We love diversity, but not if it's a smokescreen for Islamic jihad.
Where better to display diversity than the Melbourne International Film Festival, where an array of films caters for all tastes.
And if your tastes run to jihad, then you're in luck:
THE unofficial leader of the Uighurs, Rebiya Kadeer, used her visit to Australia to urge the Federal Government to take a stand over China's violent repression in her homeland...and to try to persuade Australia to take the remaining Uighur detainees from Guantanamo Bay.
Kadeer was here for the launch at the Melbourne International Film Festival of a documentary about her life and her people's struggle.
The Uighurs say the Chinese Government is committing "cultural genocide" by banning the teaching of Uighur in schools, discriminating against Uighurs in jobs, closing mosques and demolishing ancient Uighur cities such as Kashgar, on the Silk Road.
Mrs Kadeer put the death toll in the July 5 demonstrations in Xinjian at more than 1000...the Chinese security forces fired on 10,000 Uighur demonstrators. Five thousand were arrested in the following days, she said.
As for the 13 Uighurs in Guantanamo Bay, who were declassified as enemy combatants in 2005, and whom the US has asked Australia to take, Kadeer says Australia has nothing to fear.
Monash University houses the Global Terrorism Research Centre. You would think from its title that it would research global terrorism and advise on ways to keep us safe. But maybe you would think wrong, as defending Islam's reputation seems to be their number one priority.
The Centre is headed by a Muslim (not that there is any hint of that in Lentini's lengthy biography) (reference)
But Geoff Strong, in A Convert to Islam, spills the beans:
He was already a citizen of the world's most powerful nation (US) when he arrived in Australia, but was so impressed by Australia's approach to multiculturalism that he took our citizenship as soon as he could in 2002. A year later he took that multiculturalism a stage further and became an Australian Muslim.
As a Christian, I know the LORD Jesus expected His followers to fast. Matthew 6 verses16,17 is one example:
“And whenever you are fasting, do not look gloomy and sour and dreary like the hypocrites, for they put on their dismal countenance, that their fasting may be apparent to and seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full already. But when you fast, perfume your head and wash your face, So that your fasting may not be noticed by men, but by your Father,Who sees in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open.”
Ramadan is the Islamic month of fasting, when Muslims refrain from eating, drinking, smoking, and otherwise indulging from dawn until sunset. During Ramadan, Muslims ask forgiveness for past sins, pray for guidance and try to purify themselves through self-restraint and good deeds.
Some Western dhimmis, in an orgy of cultural sensitivity, feel compelled to join in this daytime denial:
The Ramadan fast is not just for Muslims anymore. Indeed, the curious trend of non-Muslim Westerners participating in the tradition has been on full display in 2009:
- Brian McLaren, a leading American evangelical in the "emergent church" camp, has fasted since Ramadan began. He explains: "As Christians, we want to come close to our Muslim neighbors and to share this important part of life with them. Just as Jesus, a devout Jew, overcame religious prejudice and learned from a Syrophonecian woman and was inspired by her faith two thousand years ago (Matthew 15:21 ff, Mark 7:24 ff), we seek to learn from our Muslim sisters and brothers today."
- Dozens of University of Michigan medical students voluntarily took part in a one-day fast, sponsored by a Muslim group, to help future doctors "understand how annual Ramadan fasting would affect the lives of their Muslim patients."
Dhimwit nominations are a bit late this month - but well worth waiting for, with four high calibre candidates.
1. Simon Overland,
Victoria's Chief Commissioner of Police
Our Dhimwit hero distinguished himself after the recent terrorism raids in Melbourne by rushing to reassure the victims (who thanks to his sensitivity training, he identified as the Islamic community) and making a plea for Australians to be more understanding:
"IMAGINE how you would feel if a member of your family was a convicted terrorist...this week's events have caused people to feel concern and even shock, none more so than in our Islamic and Somalian communities. Not only do they have to deal with their safety fears, more regrettable is that some people have jumped to the conclusion that all Somalis and Muslims have strong links with terrorism.
Most readers coming to this site have an interest in Islam and what effect it has on our freedoms, our democracy and our way of life. Surely there is much to learn, but there is another great danger which is not as visible, but also wants to change our way of life forever. There is a consortium of some the richest and most influential people in the world that are conspiring to overthrow democracy and replace it with a totalitarian form of government. These people have been influencing the decision makers of the EU in Brussels and providing financial support. This model of course is exactly what will make it easier for Islam to turn Europe into Eurabia.
This has just manifested itself in Europe with the Irish people voting YES to the Lisbon Treaty on Friday 2nd October 2009. It is hard to believe but the simple truth now is that democracy in Europe is DEAD. The once great British Parliamentary democratic model which was copied by western nations is no more. With the YES vote, the EU now has a totalitarian undemocratic and God-less government.
The purpose of this article is to expose some of the changes which will ensue now that the Lisbon Treaty has been ratified by all 27 EU states.
We have only 3 but very outstanding nominees this month.
So readers, it's up to you to vote for your favourite Dhimwit.
1. Dick Smith, for his backing of convicted terrorist David Hicks.
Last year, in an interview with Dick Smith, the famous Australian adventurer and philanthropist, concerning his support for convicted Muslim terrorist and Australian citizen David Hicks, Smith readily admitted that terrorists were evil people. But after meeting with David Hicks, he decided he was not evil and so offered to foot the $50,000.00 bill to push for a ‘fair trial’.
When asked what he thought of Hicks, Smith replied. ‘I thought he was incredibly naïve...David had not heard of Al Qaeda until he got to Guantanamo Bay.’ He asked Hicks some difficult questions like ‘Why do you write letters criticizing Jews?’ and ’What were you doing in Afghanistan?’ Satisfied with the answers, Smith formed the opinion that Hicks was ‘an incredibly open person,’ and worthy of support.
is a Melbourne comedian, but not, despite what his name (or, he says, his looks) might suggest, a Muslim. After reading about him in the Age last week (29/9/09), I was not inspired to go and see him: he didn't sound very funny, and relying on immigrant stories for laughs is too often used as an opportunity to mock the locals, the non-immigrants who probably make up the majority of his audience and who have become seemingly addicted to the denigration of their culture. From the article, it appears he likes to shock, and that he finds little he judges to be out of bounds.
Although he is, or was raised, a Coptic Christian, he seems happy to use his religion to get a laugh, and no doubt it works. After all, Christianity is right up there as comedy material: it still seems a little bit wicked, and yet if there are any public protests from annoyed Christians, it can only help to make a comedian's name more prominent. So why not?
Saleh also uses suicide bombers as a provocative subject for his routines. As he says, "There's nothing funnier or blacker than someone blowing themselves up for a particular cause; to me, that's hilarious." Of course.
Submission, a short film produced and directed by Theo van Gogh and based on a screenplay written by Ayan Hirsi Ali in 2004, has been made available on the Internet.
Submission (Part 1)
The movie deals with the treatment of women under Islam and its divine law – Shariah and it was firstly screened on August 29, 2004, on the Dutch public broadcasting network (VPRO).

I got your e-mail address from Apostates of Islam. I’m working on my Master’s Thesis at the University of Helsinki and my thesis is about leaving Islam. In particular, I’m interested in how the social pressure affects the process of leaving Islam and what the actual consequences for apostates are in today’s world.
As you can imagine, it is extremely difficult to find interviewees on this subject. I have interviewed some people in Finland, but I’d definitely like to hear from more. The testimonials on websites are also an important source, but they don’t always answer my particular questions. Therefore, I’m hoping that you could take the time to answer these questions with as few or many sentences as you like. Absolute anonymity is of course guaranteed.

Scott Gration Chooses Normative Policy with War-Crime Indicted President (Damanga press release)
In a September 29th report in the Washington Post, Major General Scott Gration, the US Special Envoy for Sudan, stated that he plans to implement a “normative” relations policy to solve the Darfur crisis with the only war-crime indicted President in the world, Omar Al-Bashir. Gration believes that positive cooperation with the Sudanese government is the best way to end the genocide: “We've got to think about giving out cookies. Kids, countries, they react to gold stars, smiley faces, handshakes, agreements, talk,” Gration stated.
The figure of Abraham is central to the faiths of Judaism, Christianity and Islam with all claiming to be descendants of Abraham’s seed. Islam states that it is just another Abrahamic faith like Judaism and Christianity and indeed replaces the two earlier faiths. This is ideal for Interfaith groups and for Islamic Da’wah as it gives people a sense of comfort knowing that Abraham features prominently in Islam along with other prophets such as Moses and Jesus. Often the Quran is sold as the final revelation from God replacing both the Old Testament and the New Testament. However we should ask ourselves the question “what does it mean to be an Abrahamic faith”? Is it in fact enough that Abraham is figured in the Quran to justify this claim? Even to the casual observer, Islam is pitted against both the Jews and Christians with increasing levels of hostility. Moreover because of Sura 3.110 Muslims believe they are the best of people, evolved for mankind, and thus expect preferential treatment when they emigrate to Western countries with a Judeo-Christian framework.
